But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Church leadership is even more corrupt than it was the last time I had a chance to meet one-on-one with a Pastor in 2019. Some of them are evil, some are just clueless. We’re going to find out who’s which.
A Ponderous Retrospective from 2019
Thursday we had arranged to meet with a Pastor, however, not our Pastor, a busybody. We didn’t know what he wanted to talk about but it was one of the breadcrumbs in the trail that the Holy Spirit told us that we had to follow and pick up.
Since we had been stressed about income and finances we were hoping that it would perhaps lead to an employment opportunity, the gentleman in question owns a small auto dealership and we’re a car guy.
He politely informed me that we’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Simon the Sorcerer, and disqualified from being an evangelist. He said that we weren’t qualified to be preaching or leading a church. It was a little shocking to be told this while standing in the line at K&W Cafeteria. On the bright side it was some Pastoral oversight which we’d been craving.
The Pastor described to me his religion in which his heart is as cold as a stone, he’s nestled down comfortably in a tiny rut isolated from worldly influences, totally disengaged from the world in a way that makes it impossible for him to do anything to reach the billions of young people being raised by Facebook and Instagram. Indeed, it would be breaking the rules for him to do anything to reach these young people. He described a religion which has no value to anyone other than the people in it. He described the Galatian Church.
The meeting established the correct decision to make in the issue that we dreamed about. A burden that we’ve been carrying isn’t our problem. We can let it go. In October 2019 we completely withdrew from all preaching and teaching and broke fellowship with the leadership of the church where we had been attending. In a sense, we obeyed the direction of Pastor Busybody. We went instead to a very large church with a younger demographic where we would be able to remain anonymous and not get drawn into the essential functions of the church. We went there to fulfill Malachi 3:10 and Hebrews 10:25.
2020
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Matthew 28:19-20) KJV
How does a church which shuns social media function in the age of COVID-19? A smartphone can potentially reach 1 billion or more people through social media and we have a moral imperative to do it. We have a great commission and it was given us by Jesus himself. The problem is, what message do we bring to them? Have you ever told a young person on Social Media that they need to be saved? This is what it usually looks like.
Evangelism on Twitter
- Matty: You need to be saved.
- Twitter: Saved from what?
- Matty: (select one of the following) sin, damnation, hell etc…
- Twitter: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha you lunatic!

Analysis
Christianity, the church, those of us who are supposed to be the ambassadors of Christ, have a unique opportunity and the moral imperative to use social media to carry out the great commission, but we don’t have an answer to the question saved from what? which doesn’t appear to be necessary, and is thereby irrelevant, thanks to SciPop.
That’s why we’re here: To tell you that hell is real and we have the science to prove it. Heaven is real and we have the science to prove it. Your soul is real and we have the science to prove it.
2025
Church leadership is so corrupt that it is being swept aside.
Salvation
- Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
- believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- confess your sin.
