How Deep was Noah’s Flood?

The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.

(Genesis 7:20) NKJV

There was enough water in the great deep to flood the Earth 1,200 km deep. 15 cubits was when the crew of the ark stopped taking soundings. Mount Everest formed 101 years AFTER Noah’s flood during Peleg’s tectonics.

The waters of the great deep flooded the Earth to a depth that may be calculated by adding its volume to the volume of the pre-flood Earth, and calculating the radius for a sphere of this volume.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

FactorSymbolValue m3
Volume of Earth on the 3rd dayt1.88E+12
Volume of water in the great deepw1.06E+12
Total volumet+w2.94E+12
– Calculating the total volume of Noah’s flood. A volume of 2.94E+12 m3 corresponds to a sphere of radius 8,883 km. If the diameter of the pre-flood Earth was 7,653 km, then the waters of the great deep alone would have flooded the Earth to a depth of 1,230 km. That doesn’t include the waters above the firmament.

What can we say to the atheist science trolls (ASTs) scientifically illiterate science worshipers (SISWs)and SciPop devotees who want to use 19th Century Uniformitarianism to say that there isn’t enough water on the Earth to flood it higher than Mt. Everest? This is the 21st Century, go find something else to do because you’re making fools of yourselves.
