(1 Corinthians 11:3) NKJV
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
(Ephesians 5:22) NKJV
Is women submitting themselves to their husbands a selling point for Christianity? Does Christianity need to be sold? How about the dominance of male authority? What if there are no men?

Consider our youth, the billion or so kids being raised by Facebook and Instagram, do they need anything more than this to simply dismiss Christianity as out of touch and irrelevant? Does anyone seriously believe that we’re going to turn back the clocks, or see a great revival, where this is one of the goals?

The other problem is that the real meaning here, describing the correct attitude that we should have with God and with each other, has historically been warped in order to institutionalize misogyny. We’ll lay this our in detail in the next post.
