Hypothesis 1 and 2
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
(Proverbs 8:27) KJV
They key to understanding the creation of gravity as the creative act of the second day is the synchronicity between “stretching out the heavens” and establishing “the foundations of the Earth.” One command did both.
Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
(Isaiah 48:13) KJV
These two operations are always together in scripture, it’s discussed in the post synchronicity. The model gives us two testable hypotheses, Hypothesis 1 and Hypothesis 2.
The Core Accretion Model of Planet Formation
Earth’s rocky core formed first, with heavy elements colliding and binding together. Dense material sank to the center, while the lighter material created the crust. The planet’s magnetic field probably formed around this time. Gravity captured some of the gases that made up the planet’s early atmosphere.ย

Predictive Testable Hypothesis 1
- IF God created gravity on the 2nd day in a primordial soup containing the complete array of inorganic and organic chemistry, and a diversity of cellular and multi-cellular life,
- AND this happened as an Oxygen-rich atmosphere formed,
- THEN we should find formations of finely bedded sediment high in Iron and other oxides in the Precambrian.
Life Began in Zero Gravity
Predictive Testable Hypothesis 2
- IF life began in a zero gravity environment on the 1st day,
- THEN the unicellular and multicellular life forms would have reached exceptionally large size as compared to similar organisms grown in gravity,
- THEREFORE there should be evidence of them in Precambrian sediment.
Gravity as a Process
Mass sinks in time, into stratified layers of sediment: a solid core on fire in the darkness, sunk in the shadow of death.

It’s also possible to derive a summary of the Core Accretion Model from scripture, however, the derivation is gigantic and I’d rather not burden you with it. Gravity as a process appears to be something that Job understood.
A compass is a device used to draw a circle that depends on having a sharp point. The point of the compass is the location of the center of the circle, and in our scenario it’s the center of gravity.
The depth here referred to is the watery mass of the deep which had just exploded with light and the beginnings of life on the first day. The circle that God metaphorically drew is the firmament, the location of God’s throne. The point of the compass is a gravitational singularity. The firmament crystallized far out in space while the Earth continued to contract, so an expanse opened up below the firmament causing dissolved gasses to come out of solution.
The singularity made the waters of the deep contract and become spherical, the heaviest elements and molecules sinking deeper towards the center, displacing the lighter forms outward and establishing concentric rings of density.

Hypothetical Prediction
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
(Daniel 12:3) KJV
We would expect that the geological sequence which results from this model to start with basal metamorphic rock that has no fossils of any kind. These precipitated out of solution and were deposited in concentric layers. Photosynthesis was taking place during the first day, so there was dissolved oxygen and other gasses present. As such there were many kinds of chemical reactions taking place, including the combination of iron (Fe2+) with Oxygen (O2-) to form iron oxides. A structuring, or stratification, of the atomic, molecular and cellular forms which God made on the first day.
The Three Heavens
- Open firmament, atmosphere or sky where birds fly,
- celestial realm, cosmos, observable universe or space where the stars are set in their courses,
- firmament, sea of glass or heliopause the location of God’s throne.
A space opened below the firmament as the Earth continued to contract and become more dense. This gives us the synchronicity between the deposition of iron-rich oxides, microbes with sulfur-based metabolism, and the formation of an oxygen-rich atmosphere. Have Scientists Found the Worldโs Oldest Fossils?
If proven true, the fossils would be the oldest direct link to life on Earth.
In a new study, a team of scientists announced it has discovered the worldโs oldest fossils, dating back some 3.77 billion years (and possibly as far back as 4.28 billion years). The region was also once part of an iron-rich, deep sea hydrothermal vent system, the researchers said in a statement, providing a fertile ground in which the bacteria thrived. Other scientists have pointed to their size, much larger than any previously dated fossils yet discovered, as an indicator that the filaments must be much younger, as itโs believed that early conditions on Earth did not provide enough oxygen to support rapid growth of bacteria.

At the circle of the firmament, a series of layers of light compounds crystallized into a rigid structure that formed a protective shell around the creation. The expanse referred to by the word raqia, is horizontal in the sense of a vast thin sheet of material, like a wall, forming a solid barrier between the waters below and the waters above. A rigid crystalline firmament solves a lot of nagging scriptural issues.
This model provides us with a source of light for the second and third days of creation (the firmament). It also provides a source of material for the formation of the stars and planets on the fourth day. It’s the beginning of the three heavens described in scripture:
Salvation
- Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
- believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- confess your sin.
