Asteroids

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

(Joshua 10:11) KJV

There’s an nearly daily onslaught of articles warning us about asteroids approaching planet Earth. They have one thing in common: Kepler’s Laws. The orbits NASA has plotted for these asteroids are proof of 2 things:

  1. In Kepler’s Laws Earth is f1 and the sun is f2,
  2. Earth is the most massive body in the solar system.

Kepler’s Laws

Elliptical planetary orbits have 2 foci, that means that two sources of gravity are required.

This is resolved in the Geocentrospheric model: Earth is f1, the sun is f2.

That being said, NASA projects its orbital diagrams from a heliocentric frame of reference and the narrative is that the asteroids are orbiting the sun and just happen to be making a close approach to the Earth, or their orbits are crossing the orbit of the Earth’s.

What we have to realize is that the Earth is the most massive body in the solar system and the asteroids aren’t merely making a close approach to Earth on an otherwise heliocentric orbit. The Earth is the massive body which is driving their orbit, it’s not moving.

As asteroids approach the Earth (perigeon) they speed up and gain momentum which is what propels them on their orbits around the rest of the solar system. When we look at the orbits we notice that the asteroids don’t approach the sun, which seems counter intuitive if the sun is, supposedly, the most massive body in the system.

Salvation

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.
