There are two scriptural contexts for which it would be wise to prepare an MEV (meteorite escape vehicle). Firstly, meteorite impacts are going to become increasingly frequent so everybody needs one.

When you wish upon a shooting star, make sure to include “don’t crash into my house” in the fine print. The meteorite reportedly missed the woman's head by mere inches.
Earthquakes and Meteorites
Zechariah prophesies an earthquake which is equal in severity to one that occurred in the time of Uzziah, King of Judah. The historical earthquake that this refers to was prophesied by Amos.
The Last Trump is AFTER the First Six

The Earthquake in the Days of Uzziah
The Bible gives us an account of an event which may have been an extraterrestrial impact. The impact wasn't in the Holy Land, but it was so severe that there were world-wide earthquakes.
Lifted up to His Destruction
A meteorite barreling down from the skies on collision course with the Earth would make us get down on our knees to pray. Evidently it caused Uzziah to run, panic-stricken, into the temple and try to avert the judgment of God.
Two Years Before the Earthquake
Amos prophesied the coming judgment of God two years before an earthquake. How did he know that it was coming? Amos was a herdsman and probably spent his nights outside. Did Amos see something in the heavens?
Target Selective Hail Stones
Stones fell out of heaven which killed only the Canaanites, but none of the Israelites. This is rather tricky to account for, at least, if you believe the Bible within the popular science paradigm (SciPop).
Venus
Venus may have been the source of the fire and brimstone which destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It may also have been the source of the hail mingled with fire in the Exodus. Any time fire fell from heaven, that's what Venus is for.
Mantle Collapse
If you use the Bible to deduce something and conclude that there needs to be something else in the Bible to confirm it, you search the Bible to find what you deduced was needed. If you find it, you're on the right track.
