Sanctification and Honor

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.

(1 Thessalonians 4:3-6) NKJV

If you’re struggling with gender identity try not to worry or fret about it. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling. It’s okay to process the thoughts that you’re having. Here’s the best advise that I, me, myself, personally, can give you:

Possess your vessel in sanctification and honor.

Endure your struggle alone. It’s an internal struggle, and a potentially tragic mistake to make it external. You can’t resolve how you’re feeling through sexual experimentation. That will lead to needless complication, loss and, without fail, spiritual damage to yourself and whoever you get involved with.

Is that too hard? Let’s put it in perspective: is it like, say, being nailed to a cross?

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Matthew 16:24) NKJV

Those of us who seek to be spiritual are going to have to learn how to posses our vessels in sanctification and honor, for the Lord’s sake.
