Light vs. Darkness; Good vs. Evil
When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
(Job 30:26) KJV
Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross and the darkness immediately after it picture creation in the moments BEFORE God said “let light be,” BEFORE nucleosynthesis, the fabled “Big Bang.”
It’s amazing what we (that’s me and the Holy spirit) can get used to. When we go down the rabbit hole or off the deep end, and then find out that there’s another rabbit hole at the end of the first, and the deep end also has a deep end, we develop a perspective that no one else has. Explaining a simple concept becomes a challenge because it’s only a simple concept to us because we went down two rabbit holes and off three deep ends to get there.
Nucleosynthesis isn’t the beginning of the Biblical narrative. The Genesis account of creation starts BEFORE the “Big Bang” and gives us the origin of the Hydrogen which allowed nucleosynthesis to take place. For this reason we find it helpful to distinguish between Big Bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) vs. let light be nucleosynthesis (LLBN).
We’re working through a series which began on December 6th. The logical steps in the broad narrative of scripture require that we establish that 1. God is light, 2. light is in heaven, and 3. heaven is above.
