Predictive Prophecy

And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

(Revelation 16:21) ESV

People, even Christians, commonly claim is that the Bible isn’t scientific. One reason being that it doesn’t make any predictions which can be tested. We’ll show you that the Bible is predictive, testable and scientific.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

(Romans 1:20) ESV

The problem that we face is an interesting one. God has made it clear that the truth about his existence and his almighty power as the creator of the universe is self-evident such that no one has an excuse not to believe.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) ESV

However, he’s also given us the free will to believe whatever we want. As such there has to be a plausible alternative explanation for how the human race exists. This is referred to in scripture as a strong delusion but it’s known to us as popular science (SciPop). It’s the reason why even Christians get upset when you tell them that the Bible is scientific. It’s the reason why you think that we live in the Star Trek universe.

That’s a real problem though when you can show that the Bible, which claims to be divine, just happens gives us an accurate account of the origin, history and future of the universe which is derived from a clear understanding of subatomic physics and elemental forces.

This becomes especially problematic when you can take Kepler’s laws, almost daily reports of asteroids making close passes of the Earth, unfulfilled prophecy of three major extraterrestrial impacts and the fall of stellar material, and use them to show that during the tribulation the Earth’s radius will increase from 6,371 km to 10,795 km.

If the Earth is one of two foci in the orbits of asteroids, and it’s the source of gravity for the observable universe, then the Earth is f1 and when the asteroids approach perigeon (closest point to the Earth) they will be accelerating. That’s a prediction. From the Bible. It’s Hypothesis 29. It’s also an observation. Apophis Asteroid, Nicknamed ‘God of Chaos,’ is Speeding Up.
