The Great Flood Anoxic Event
Timothy, keep safe what has been entrusted to your care. Avoid the profane talk and foolish arguments of what some people wrongly call “Knowledge.” For some have claimed to possess it, and as a result they have lost the way of faith.
God’s grace be with you all.
(1 Timothy 6:20-21) Good News Translation
Our prediction is that there was a mass extinction of marine life during Noah’s flood. The test is the stratigraphic evidence of a world-wide anoxic extinction. That’s a scientific hypothesis.
The iconic figures of mainstream science (SciPop) Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein used inductive reasoning to design experiments which confirmed their hypotheses. It’s not the result of luck or good fortune, it’s rigged. The paradigm in which the experiments are designed is derived from the premise that’s being tested.
Inductive reasoning (as opposed to deductive reasoning or abductive reasoning) is reasoning in which the premises are viewed as supplying strong evidence for the truth of the conclusion. While the conclusion of a deductive argument is certain, the truth of the conclusion of an inductive argument is probable, based upon the evidence given.
– Inductive Reasoning, definition (Wikipedia)
If, for instance, we’ve advanced the premise that gravity causes space to be curved, then when we find evidence of gravitational lensing we can consider it to be a confirmation of our premise. However, gravitational lensing doesn’t prove that gravity causes space to curve, it just as easily proves that gravity causes light to curve and space is irrelevant.
You want to play science? We can play too. We can do the same thing. Our premise, the K/T boundary marks the point at which the 40 days and nights of rain ended, allows us to generate a predictive testable hypothesis:
Predictive Testable Hypothesis 20
- IF the entire world was flooded by an event in which water levels around the world increased for 40 days and nights,
- AND all of the ecosystems around the world began to decompose in flood water which remained for about a year,
- THEN we would anticipate a world wide anoxic event in which there was a mass extinction of fish species.
