Left Their Own Abode

And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;

(Jude 1:6) NKJV

The passage above is one of a small handful in the Bible which address the consequence faced by the angels who joined Satan’s rebellion in heaven. It’s closely related to the featured passage today’s devotional.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

(Matthew 25:41) KJV

This is we get another confirmation that the war in heaven was after the fall of man. Matthew 25:41, tells us that everlasting fire was prepared for the Devil and his angels. Prepared for is past tense, it’s translated from the Greek ἑτοιμάζω – hetoimazó to prepare, to make ready.

• IF the everlasting fire begins in hell,
  • AND hell is a direct consequence of sin at the fall of man,
    • PLUS it was made ready for the devil and his angels when they fell,
• THEN the fall of man had to be before the war in heaven.

This means that hell had to have begun before the Devil and his angels were cast out of heaven. Adam and Eve sinned and brought judgement upon themselves, Satan took advantage of the situation to attempt a coup in heaven. God already knew it was going to happen, he had already made the appropriate arrangements.

There’s a reason why it’s important to resolve these issues, but perhaps more importantly it’s now possible to resolve these issues. The possibility exists because we have taken a deductive approach to a literal translation of the Bible which is driven by the principle God cannot lie and the Bible is true.

THEREFORE, it must be possible to show how to reconcile the Bible with all physical evidence and empirical observations. Now this isn’t an easy process and it’s required that we destroy the popular science (SciPop) paradigm. However now we can see that all previous theology and apologetics has been framed by the parameters of the SciPop paradigm. The ungodly have been telling the Godly what and how to think about God.

Those days are over.
