The belief that humans evolved stems from a desire to deny that we’re accountable to God, or that there is a God. The rationalization of this premise is what we know of as popular science (SciPop).
Terribly sorry old friend, but we’re here to destroy your paradigm. But, before we go on, let’s make sure that we know what a paradigm is.
In science and philosophy, a paradigm /ˈpærədaɪm/ is a distinct set of concepts or thought patterns, including theories, research methods, postulates, and standards for what constitutes legitimate contributions to a field.
– Paradigm, definition
– A framework containing the basic assumptions, ways of thinking, and methodology that are commonly accepted by members of a scientific community.
– Such a cognitive framework shared by members of any discipline or group: the company’s business paradigm.
The distinct set of concepts or basic assumptions in popular science (SciPop) are leaps of faith. There are 5 of them. They’re thought of as axioms but, sadly, they’re not axiomatic.

None of these leaps of faith can be proven. They’re designed to feed each other a stream of apparently coherent logic, that makes it seem as if the theoretical construct is complete and all-encompassing, but it’s actually just circular reasoning. The great thing about circular reasoning is that at least we’re not wasting anything, right? Reduce, reuse, recycle…
