Are You Lost?

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

(Hebrews 10:39) NKJV

This is a very sad state to be in. Literally soul-destroying. Here perdition is used to refer to people who hear the Word of God, and come under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, but they draw back. They quench the Holy Spirit and deny Jesus as savior.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

(Luke 19:10 ) KJV

They know, as we all do, that we’re are all sinners and need to be forgiven. That’s why we need Jesus Christ, he’s the only one who has the power to forgive sin. The problem is, for whatever reason, they refuse to confess their sin or accept Jesus as their savior.
