Jesus Christ was in the Beginning

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

(John 1:1-2) KJV

We’re testing the hypothesis that the deep, the Word of God and Jesus Christ are identities of God the Son. If they are, then the description of each one will be congruent with the featured passage.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

(1 John 1:1-3) KJV

John very helpfully resolves the fact that the Word of God and Jesus Christ are the same person. The Word of life, aka the Word of God, was manifested as the man Jesus of Nazareth.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

(Ephesians 5:25-27) KJV

What is the washing of water by the word? How can water be washed? This only makes sense if washing of water and the word are the same thing. The context is that Christ gave himself for the church. This fits the pattern which is emerging. Christ is the deep, who gave himself for the purpose of bringing forth creation.
