What is submission? Is it pretending that there's nothing wrong while you're being abused? No. No one should tolerate that. Submission is simply agreeing instead of arguing.
Help can be Active or Passive
If the woman was cursed to take a passive role then, logically, that was because she had formerly been the active leader. This explains the natural tendency that women have of wanting to organize and direct.
A Woman Clothed with the Sun
Help can be both giving or receiving direction. Somewhere along the line the idea of helping and the role of subservience have been placed in an unequal yoke.
Cause and Effect: The Curse is Effect
If the wife's role is to obey her husband and compliment him on how big his muscles are, then why did God need to carry out the rib removal operation?

If Adam and Eve had been equal before the curse then they should be equal after the curse, but they have a role reversal. The only conclusion that we can deduce is that before the curse, the woman was in charge.
