A major theme of the Bible, particularly the New Testament, is that we have two natures: carnal and spiritual. These two natures are at war within us.

If we come to the conclusion that our relationship with the Lord is our top priority then we've risen above the flesh. Now we're separating between the holy and the profane, the spiritual and the carnal.

There's no condemnation [M] to them that are in Christ Jesus because we're quickened [q]. We walk not after the flesh [pG] but after the Spirit [A]. This gives us a gravitational mechanism for redemption.
