For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
(Romans 7:14) NKJV
A major theme of the Bible, particularly the New Testament, is that we have two natures: carnal and spiritual. Even if we’re born again through faith in Jesus Christ, these two natures are at war within us.
but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
(Romans 7:23) KJV
When we’re born again we’re free from the law of sin and death and then we can work to overcome our carnal nature.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(Romans 8:6) KJV
We can also understand the opposing natures of carnal vs. spiritual in terms of our theory of Biblical quantum gravity. Let’s remind ourselves of our working definition of gravity, which is Matty’s law of Biblical gravitation.
Gravity (A) is a field emitted from a created instance (a singularity) which causes a body to have attractive force (p) proportional to its mass and inversely proportional to the square of its distance from the source (pG).
G is the gravitational constant. This is a general physical law derived from empirical observations by using deduction.
– Matty’s Law of Biblical Gravitation
Agape gravity, God’s grace and forgiveness, is an upward push which propels our souls to heaven. Mosaic gravity, M the law, is a downward pull which draws our souls into hell., These opposing forces are, among other things, the difference between giving and receiving. This gives is a gravitational mechanism for redemption. There’s no condemnation [M] to them that are in Christ Jesus because we’re quickened [q]. We walk not after the flesh [pG] but after the Spirit [A].
