The truth about God is self-evident but we've all been given free will. Therefore there must be a plausible alternative to the truth for those who want it. It's called the strong delusion or the power of error.

When you use a computer to analyze data it has to be coded in a form that the computer can understand. This is where personal bias and circular reasoning starts: not in the analysis, in the coding.

Why would God send a strong delusion if we've been given knowledge of the truth? Do you love the truth, or hate it? Some people don't want it. You have a choice. You can believe anything you want.

In 1991 we (me and the Holy Spirit) scared the faculty at Duke by demonstrating a flaw in the use of cladistic phylogenetic analysis to study the Devonian fossil Archaeopteris.
Primitive or Advanced?
Cladistic phylogenetic analysis works by grouping species based on shared derived characteristics (synapomorphies). All of the members of a homologous group have a common ancestor.
