Kepler's Laws are the weakest point of the theoretical foundation of popular science (SciPop). The weakness is that Kepler's laws are derived empirically, but they're applied theoretically.

The last physical phenomena of world-wide, or region-wide, significance in the recent epoch is the most famous one of all, the star of Bethlehem. It has a direct connection to our doctrine of the firmament.

Jerusalem was besieged by the Assyrian army and King Hezekiah was sick and nearly died. Then the sun went backwards. The Assyrian army was wiped out and Hezekiah became internationally famous.

The planet Venus may have been the source of some of the plagues of the Exodus: rivers and streams turning into blood, a rain of hail mingled with fire, and impenetrable darkness where people couldn't see their hands in front of their faces.

The third axiom of SciPop is stars are distant suns and galaxies. It's part of Galileo's Bluff. It's part of Galileo's Bluff, wishful thinking, an inductive rationalization of the premise that stars are distant suns and galaxies.

Dark Matter Isn’t

After repeated failed attempts to detect Dark Matter, whoever comes up with an explanation of why we can't detect them, which can be seamlessly interwoven with the scientific narrative of godless existence, will get a Nobel Prize.

"If the theory agrees with the facts." Albert Einstein (1905). What facts? They're are an inductive rationalization derived from accepting the theory (circular reasoning).
