The Third Heaven

(the firmament, sea of glass or heliopause)

I know a certain Christian man who fourteen years ago was snatched up to the highest heaven (I do not know whether this actually happened or whether he had a vision—only God knows). I repeat, I know that this man was snatched to Paradise (again, I do not know whether this actually happened or whether it was a vision—only God knows), and there he heard things which cannot be put into words, things that human lips may not speak.

(2 Corinthians 12:2-4) Good News Translation

The third heaven is the dome or firmament, which is a sea of glass. It’s a rigid crystalline sphere on the edge of space which formed in response to the creation of gravity on the second day.

A crystalline firmament solves a variety of problems in scripture and Physics. It’s the source of gravitational interaction which keeps the cosmos in its current stable state. It’s effect is mathematically obvious, to the extent that mainstream science (SciPop) had to invent black holes and dark matter to make up for it.

Since black holes don’t exist, then they can’t collide and produce gravitational waves. That’s okay though because we have an alternative source for gravitational waves: fluctuations in the human death rate. This is Hypothesis 13.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

The Stars Will Fall

The sun, moon, and stars will crumble to dust. The sky will disappear like a scroll being rolled up, and the stars will fall like leaves dropping from a vine or a fig tree.

(Isaiah 34:4) Good News Translation

The express purpose of modern astronomy is to make you think that the fulfillment of prophecy, specifically the stars falling to Earth, is impossible.

However, the firmament is the source of gravitational interaction which is keeping the stars in space. According to prophesy at some point in the future the firmament will be rolled up like a scroll and the stars will fall to Earth. If the firmament is a thin sheet of crystalline material then this is physically possible, it’s not just flowery poetic language. It’s an example of Hypothesis 22.

Now, if the stars will fall to the Earth when the firmament rolls up, just as the Bible says, but this isn’t possible in the SciPop cosmological model is God lying? No. Clearly the SciPop model is wrong.

Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

I Knew a Man

As soon as they spoke, I was about to write. But I heard a voice speak from heaven, “Keep secret what the seven thunders have said; do not write it down!”

(Revelation 10:4) Good News Translation

Let’s identify the person who Paul’s referring to: a person who was caught up to the third heaven and saw unspeakable visions. Who could this be but the Disciple John, who wrote the book of Revelation? John’s vision of heaven included something that he referred to as a sea of glass.

Salvation

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.

A Sea of Glass

Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
Surrounding the throne on each of its sides, were four living creatures covered with eyes in front and behind.

(Revelation 4:6) Good News Translation

Then I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire. I also saw those who had won the victory over the beast and its image and over the one whose name is represented by a number. They were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps that God had given them

(Revelation 15:2) Good News Translation

We’ve identified the sea of glass as the firmament, a sphere of rigid crystal on the edge of space which encloses the universe.

The reason for creation is the manifestation of sentient life with free will.

Hubble’s Bubble

Accepting the idea of the universe being enclosed in a glass bubble is a tough one, however it’s presence is a mathematical certainty. Despite that it’s a reality that the scientific community won’t accept. The gravitational interaction of the firmament and it’s contribution to the current stability of the observable universe is the reason why physicists had to invent black holes and dark matter. It’s been detected by the Voyager and New Horizons space missions and it’s described in the SciPop press as “a brightly shining wall on the edge of space.”

We’re going to burst your bubble because the Hubble’s bubble isn’t going to burst. The theory that the universe is expanding is an ephemeral strand of wispy logic which has been put forth to explain why the universe hasn’t collapsed. However, it hasn’t collapsed because there’s a firmament. The evidence used to support the notion of the expansion of the universe is redshift, but this is caused by a phenomenon known as gravitational time dilation (GTD).

The purpose of creation is to bring about the permanent physical separation of light from darkness, day from night, good from evil.

– The Purpose of Creation

God’s throne is in heaven

The Lord placed his throne in heaven;
he is king over all.

(Psalms 103:19) Good News Translation

God’s throne is in heaven. Is this real or metaphorical? On one hand it’s very obvious what the third heaven is: it’s the place where God currently dwells. This is described as a sea of glass and a throne of sapphire. That’s what God’s word says.

Doesn’t God live in the highest heavens
and look down on the stars, even though they are high?
And yet you ask, “What does God know?
He is hidden by clouds—how can he judge us?”
You think the thick clouds keep him from seeing,
as he walks on the dome of the sky.

(Job 22:12-14) Good News Translation

However, on the other hand, if you don’t accept the firmament as a physical structure you’re stuck with this dilemma: how can God’s heaven, the location of his throne, be a physical place? When you’ve compromised with SciPop the unfortunate answer is: IT CAN’T. Heaven is now a metaphor for something, although exactly what is unclear since heaven, by your own capitulation, doesn’t exist.

The Lord looks down from heaven
and sees all of us humans.
From where he rules, he looks down
on all who live on earth.
He forms all their thoughts
and knows everything they do.

(Psalms 33:14-15) Good News Translation

In Matty’s Paradigm the third heaven is real. As far as God is concerned it’s real. Matty’s Paradigm has the only cosmological model which incorporates all empirical observations and physical evidence, that’s why it has three heavens.
