The third heaven is the dome or firmament, which is a sea of glass. It's a rigid crystalline sphere on the edge of space which formed in response to the creation of gravity on the second day.

The fundamental thing which sets Matty's Paradigm apart is gravity. The Bible has an extensively developed doctrine of gravity which causes a phenomenon called gravitational time dilation (GTD).
Former Things Have Passed Away
God comes down from heaven to dwell with humanity, but not on Earth because it's gone. God takes up residence on the site of the original singularity, created on the second day, the original foundation of the Earth.
Rolled Together as a Scroll
Is the phrase "the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll" flowery poetic language or accurate physics? If the firmament is a rigid sphere of crystal on the edge of space, it's accurate physics.
Statement of Belief
A perfect harmonization between the Bible and science is possible, but it requires us to honestly evaluate the assumptions which have been made in the development of the popular science paradigm (SciPop).
