Hell is Expanding in the Old Testament

For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

(Deuteronomy 32:22) NKJV

Hell wasn’t part of the six days of creation, it’s a direct consequence of sin. At the fall of man in the garden of Eden God cursed the Earth. This was the beginning of nuclear decay.

The Earth had formed in such a way that high atomic weigh elements were concentrated in the core so the initial burst of radiation generated enough heat to cause the core to melt. This is the fire that was kindled which is referred to in the passage above.

There are several other references to the expansion of hell in the Old Testament.
