The Dispensation of Conscience

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

(Luke 10:18) KJV

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

(Revelation 12:13) KJV

The history of creation is the working out of the process of purification. Eventually there will be absolute purity in heaven, and there will be only corruption left on Earth. At this time the Earth will be disposed of. The process of purification has several phases, in the Bible these are called dispensations.

The dispensation of conscience is the time after the fall of man during which the war in heaven took place and Satan and the rebellious angels were cast down to Earth.

God only wants companions who have chosen to be in his fellowship. When he created the heavens using gravity the molecules and atoms weren’t making a choice, they were responding to stimuli. When these elements and compounds were made into sentient beings there were souls who were either ambivalent about it or really didn’t want to be there. When Satan rose up against God this seemed like the perfect opportunity to them to display their dissatisfaction with the lot that they had been dealt. Then they were cast out of heaven and heaven was purified.

It may also be the beginning of racism, since in his anger and bitterness Satan, a serpent, chose to direct his malice against the human race. Once Satan and the rebellious angels were out of heaven the real work of redemption could begin.

Salvation

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.
