The Fall is Coming

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

(Genesis 3:6-7) NKJV

The issue that complicates resolving this right now is that something has to happen which changes an intelligent bipedal reptilian humanoid into a limbless snake.

July – The Cursed Earth

We find out why snakes aren’t bipedal any more, among other things.

This happens in the context of changing the Earth from its newly created very good state into its cursed state, and the answer lies on the other side of the fall. This is the subject of our devotional for July.

What was the serpent in the garden of Eden? We propose that the serpent in Genesis 3 was a bipedal reptilian humanoid.
