Heart Condition

The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

(Jeremiah 17:9) NKJV

Heart condition may be substantially more complicated than whether we smoke, our cholesterol levels, or any of the related medical factors which are involved. It would appear that the condition of our heart is directly related to condition of our relationship with God.

Consider the cause and effect of heart condition. For example, which came first: smoking? or heart disease? What if heart disease is the result of a poor relationship with God, and that’s the reason why we smoke?

What about being overweight and having a bad diet? Is that going to cause heart disease? Or are we depressed because life has no meaning, due to the fact that we capitulated with popular science (SciPop) and fooled ourselves into thinking that there’s no God, as a result of which we over eat and don’t exercise?

Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but everyone followed the dictates of his evil heart; therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but which they have not done.’ ”

(Jeremiah 11:8) NKJV

Cause and effect. Heart disease probably isn’t an effect, it’s a cause.

Heart and soul make us unique, they drive and motivate us. Hopefully we’re motivated to seek the Lord, that’s really what were here for.
