The Voice of Swearing

And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

(Leviticus 5:1) KJV

If the words that Jesus Christ spoke are words of life to those who hear and believe them, then what are swear words? The words of death? Swearing is an indicator of a soul’s condition.

Swearing is so funny right? We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) have seen a YouTube video which is a defense of heliocentricity that makes profanity a cornerstone of its argument. It’s hilarious. You would almost think that swearing and the scientific method are the same thing. Ironically, we can show you with scripture that they are the same thing.

Words are Spirit

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

(John 6:63) KJV

If words are spirits, then, unfortunately, swear words are evil spirits. With that in mind, you may have seen articles going around with headlines that sound like this one:

Swearing is Actually a Sign of More Intelligence, Not Less

– Something that scientists Say

The implication is clear, it’s been given emphasis by stating that it’s a scientific finding: Clever people swear, but does this mean that swearing is clever? Can swearing make you clever? What’s the relationship between cause and effect here? How are intelligence and swearing related?

Swearing and Lying

By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.

(Hosea 4:2) NKJV

Intelligent people are likely to be educated, and mainstream education is to be indoctrinated with the mainstream science narrative of godless existence (SciPop). Rejecting God is a very common outcome.

Is their position of intellectual superiority the reason why they have rejected God and, thus, don’t care about the impact of swearing on their soul? If they have rejected God then his laws are definitely out the window. In which case, why does swearing make any difference?

Hosea 4:2 describes a group of behaviors which are characteristic of the lost. It’s a syndrome. When you see or hear one behavior, it’s an indicator that the others aren’t far behind. Swearing and lying are on the same list.
