Sodom and Gomorrah was God's way of making a very important point. It was relevant to the age, when a minute human population had a vast world to populate and subdue. We don't live in that age.

God sterilized an outbreak of a virulent pathogen by raining down burning Sulfur. It may have come from a close pass of the Planet Venus, for which there is historical and cultural evidence.
January 6th
Christ’s suffering and death at Calvary symbolizes the beginning of creation and the establishment of Physics. This, was an epiphany. Now we have the faith to run the race, into whatever uncertain future there may be, but we don't look back.
November 23rd
If the lake of fire exists at the time when the Millennial Kingdom begins, right after the tribulation which could start at any time, does the lake of fire exist now? If so, where is it?
