Jesus tells us that the punishment for sin is burning in hell, a fire like in Hinnom. However, hell hasn't been replaced by burning trash in Hinnom. Hell is expanding, it's the cause of global warming.

In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus describes the final judgement that takes place at the end of the Millennial Kingdom. At this time hell will be cast into the lake of fire. The everlasting fire that Jesus refers to isn't hell, it's something else.

Jesus descended into the lower parts of the Earth. We can resolve this as being a place in the lower mantle, we euphemistically call it Abraham's bosom, the same location that he described in Luke 16.

Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven. The angels' corrupt nature bound them with "everlasting chains" or "chains of darkness" in hell. These chains are Mosaic gravity (M).
