If God's sitting on the circle of the Earth, and God's throne is in heaven, then "the circle of the Earth" describes something orbiting the Earth, not the Earth itself. The circle of the Earth isn't Discworld.
A Geocentrospheric Solution
Another Heliocentric #EpicFail
How would you rationalize this remarkable event, during which the sun went backwards for 40 minutes, in a heliocentric system? It's anyone's guess, but there are several steps required.
The Sun Went Backwards
The sun going backwards is such a significant event that it's recorded twice in scripture in 2 Kings 20 and Isaiah 38:8. It's also referred to in 2 Chronicles 32:31 as "the wonder that was done in the land".
Heliocentric #EpicFail
How do you rationalize an event where it looked like the sun and moon stopped moving? You could say that the Earth stopped rotating, but the sun and moon maintained their relative position with each other.
The Sun and Moon Stood Still
Habakkuk refers to this event in which, in Velikovsky's rationalization, the hail stones are left over from an earlier time during the plagues of the Exodus when Venus was a comet and Earth passed through its tail.
Target Selective Hail Stones
Stones fell out of heaven which killed the Canaanites, but not the Israelites. We have a large body of data on Meteorites which clearly shows that Earth if F1 and the Sun is F2 in Kepler's Laws.
Mercury
Mercury may the planet killing meteorite Wormwood. Mercury/Wormwood will impact Earth during the tribulation, setting off a chain of events which will lead to another major upheaval. This is in the daily devotional for November.
Mars
Our history also involves Mars, since it was a major source of sediment during Noah's flood. The Old Red Sandstone of Scotland, Late Cretaceous sediment in Northern China and the sands of Mars may be related.
Venus
Venus may have been the source of the fire and brimstone which destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and the hail mingled with fire during the plagues of the Exodus.
Ferruginous Dust from Venus
Immanuel Velikovsky went to great lengths to relate the plagues of the Exodus to events of world-wide significance which are recorded in the history of many cultures, not just the Hebrews.
