Truth isn’t falsifiable so, technically, there’s no hypothesis for it. What if it isn’t testable either? That means it’s unscientific. And yet it’s still the truth. We’re watching a philosophical train wreck in slow-motion.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.(John 4:24) ESV
Let’s take as an example the statement God is a Spirit. This is a fundamental truth about our creator God. How do we test this? How do we make this into a testable hypothesis that we can design experiments for and collect data on? How can multiple independent researchers obtain a positive result that would then establish this as a scientific fact? It can’t be done. As far as science is concerned this isn’t a testable hypothesis, therefore it’s unscientific and must be rejected.
The Scientific Method
- The Truth:
- God is a Spirit.
- The Scientific Method:
- The Truth is neither testable nor falsifiable,
- therefore it’s unscientific and must be rejected.
- According to the rules of the scientific method:
- popular science (SciPop) and the truth are mutually exclusive.
How do you feel about the scientific method now? Under the guise of being a procedure for ensuring scientific rigor, the scientific method has established rules that strictly forbid any possibility of knowing the truth. It’s impossible to find the truth using the scientific method, even by accident. The outcome of this is that the scientific method isn’t a useful tool for investigating truth. That’s the sad reality: truth lies outside the established parameters of the scientific method.
We love science so much that we want to show you that it can be used to glorify God.
