Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned –
(Romans 5:12) NKJV
In the mainstream science narrative of godless existence the human race, Homo sapiens, appears in recent times. Somewhat like a period (.) at the end of billions of years of evolutionary development.
That’s not what the Bible says, which makes it clear that H. sapiens was created fully-formed. However there’s an extensively documented process of genetic change over time, the Lamborghini of scientific theories just waiting to be driven somewhere. Sadly, peer review took the Lambo and drove it into darkness and obscurity. That’s given time for Atheist science trolls (ASTs) and their ilk to derive some well-worn rhetorical ploys that they like to beat up creationists with. We’re going to show you how one of them is bogus. It’s Principia Mattymatica – Principle VII: evolution isn’t the origin of humanity.
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
Compiling the Human Genome
You are doomed! You call evil good and call good evil. You turn darkness into light and light into darkness. You make what is bitter sweet, and what is sweet you make bitter.
(Isaiah 5:20) Good News Translation
We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) made a distinction between two separate processes: creation vs. decay. Mainstream science (SciPop) has emulated this by designating one as abiogenesis and the other as evolution.
- Abiogenesis took place over the six days of creation,
- it produced fully formed Homo sapiens.
- Evolution is the process of genetic decay,
- it began in Genesis 3 at the fall of man.
This distinction is as accurate as we need to be able to account for both the physical evidence and the testimony of scripture. Evolution is the passage of heritable traits from one generation to the next such that successive generations may adapt to a changing environment. Genetic change over time requires death. Here’s the thing: there was no death before sin, therefore evolution couldn’t have started before Genesis 3:16.
Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.
– Faith, definition
We need to understand that there’s a fundamental problem with the unbelieving mind that makes people incapable of comprehending the correct relationship between cause and effect. The Bible refers to this as a reprobate mind. This is how it is that atheist science trolls (ASTs) can look at you with a straight face and say things like:
“Why do you think that the universe needs a cause?”
– Atheist Science Troll
There’s a reason why the distinction between abiogenesis and evolution is so important. It’s as fundamental as cause and effect. One of the arguments presented by ASTs that the human race didn’t originate with Adam and Eve is genetics. Genetics is a rigorously scientific discipline which embodies the relationship of cause and effect, therefore the outcome from it ought to be truth. Naturally THE NARRATIVE assumes the intellectual high ground and will patronize and belittle any other view point.
The rhetoric is that there’s not enough genetic variability present in a current human genome from which to derive the entire human race in 6,000 years starting from just two individuals. ASTs love to wave this in the face of creationists but they’re blissfully unaware that their logic is flawed. They’re taking the genetic variability of a mating pair of current humans. These are the end result of the process of devolution. The ASTs want to extrapolate the entire human race from one mating pair of the end result of the process of genetic decay. It doesn’t work that way.
Salvation
- Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
- believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- confess your sin.
To find out what the genome of our Noachian ancestors would have looked like we would have to take all of the genetic variability present on Earth today, add to it whatever has been lost (which we don’t know), then compile the genome of Noah and his wife. Noah and his wife represented the sum total of all genetic variability now present on Earth. Adam and Eve had even more genetic variability than that, since Noah and his family are derived from them.
ASTs want to use the effect as the cause. This is the only way they can compose some plausible-looking rationale to refute Adam and Eve as the origin of humanity. By using the end result of the process of evolution as the starting point, deliberately reversing the relationship of cause and effect, they can look at you in all seriousness and say “this simply doesn’t add up. The math doesn’t work.”
They’re right, but their scenario is contrived, it’s an example of inductive reductive circular reasoning. It’s a mathematical regression which is designed to fail, for the purpose of making the point that their contrived scenario will fail. It’s a form of scientific sleight-of-hand. So what? Time to dismiss them as irrelevant and move on. Adam and Eve were created with a complete genome about 6,000 years ago.
