As if “heavy rainfall and aridity” wasn’t a clue, then what better description of a world-wide flood could there be than “extensive inundation of continents“? That’s what happens in a world-wide flood.
“Extensive inundation of continents to form seas in areas of major synclines.” Syncline is science jargon for a dip in the ground where water pools allowing sediment to deposit. Only it’s “major” so it’s referring to extensive dips in the ground where extensive amounts of water pool causing extensive amounts of sediment to be deposited.
We ponder more cause and effect. Noah’s flood began in the in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month. Noah left the ark and ventured out onto dry land in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month. One year and ten days from the beginning to the end of Noah’s flood..
There’s a chain of causality which links the conditions on Earth as Noah’s flood began (deluge), was flooded (inundation), then subsided. If we ponder this chain of causality and we’re honest about what the conditions would have to be in order for the sediment to be deposited, we can be absolutely certain that a world-wide flood could be the provenance of this sediment.
We can also see stages of the flood as we transition from deluge to inundation, and then to subsidence of the waters. By a curious coincidence, this matches up perfectly with different parts of the stratigraphic column which have been designated as eras in the popular science narrative of godless existence (SciPop).
