Warm Epicontinental Seas

And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”

(John 9:39) NKJV

Warm, epicontinental seas supporting an abundance of blue-green, green, and red algae. Why would examination of Cambrian sediment lead us to conclude that the Cambrian had warm epicontinental seas?

Epicontinental is an interesting word. “Epi-” means around the perimeter of “-continental” means landmasses. We need a landmass to be the source of sediment, a sea to deposit sediment in, and the movement of a large amount of water to make this happen. Like a world-wide flood.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

The challenge for mainstream science (SciPop) is to come up with plausible rationale which which shoehorns evidence into its narrative. The premise of the narrative is that fossils at the bottom of the stratigraphic column are the oldest, therefore they ought to be the simplest in evolutionary development. It has to induce a way to account for the obvious need of a massive amount of water to move a massive amount of material. It then has to massage a narrative to account for the evidence in a way which supports its premise. This process is called induction.

Inductive reasoning (as opposed to deductive reasoning or abductive reasoning) is reasoning in which the premises are viewed as supplying strong evidence for the truth of the conclusion. While the conclusion of a deductive argument is certain, the truth of the conclusion of an inductive argument is probable, based upon the evidence given.

– Inductive Reasoning, definition (Wikipedia)

The problem is that we can’t get past the obvious conclusion that Cambrian sediments were deposited in “warm epicontinental seas” because the sediments preserve the remains of ocean floor habitat. It’s science lingo for “world-wide flood” without using the words “world-wide flood.”

Trilobites, which have been “assigned” to the “Cambrian” lived on the floor of the ocean. That was their natural habitat. Something caused billions of tons of sediment to pour down on top them and preserve them as fossils. Evolution is irrelevant. Trilobites lived on the ocean floor, they were buried first and that’s why they’re in the lowest level in the stratigraphic column. It’s circumstantial evidence which has been woven into the mainstream science narrative of godless existence (SciPop).
