Occam’s Delusion

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

(Isaiah 29:14) KJV

We’ve demonstrated that Occam’s razor is a philosophical train wreck by comparing the assumptions necessary in heliocentric vs. geocentrospheric cosmologies and through the improbability of the origin of species by evolution.

Occam’s razor is a pithy meme which is used to justify believing the heliocentric theory. It says that the hypothesis with the fewest assumption is the most likely. The idea is that heliocentricity is easier to draw diagrams of than Geocentrosphericity, therefore Geocentrosphericity is impossible. Here’s the thing, real life is never the simplest explanation. Plus, from our absolute frame of reference on the Earth it is very clear that Earth is the center of the observable universe and the cosmos appears to be working perfectly. It’s too complicated to draw a diagram of, but it’s happening around us, it’s empirical.

However if you wanted to apply Occam’s razor in the evolution scenario, which would be even-handed, which is the most likely? A number too big for Google sheets or a number small enough for Google sheets? Either Occam’s razor is useless or the evolutionary origin of humanity is false. They can’t both be right. However, they can both be wrong.

Since Occam’s razor disproves both heliocentricity and phylogenetic systematics you can expect to see it disappear from casual use. This is a predictive testable hypothesis: Hypothesis 36: Occam’s Twitter. We wonder how you you feel about Occam’s razor now. Here is the new definition:

Occam’s razor is a philosophical tenet which epitomizes the strong delusion, the scientific embodiment of willful ignorance, an excuse to ignore the truth whenever it’s inconvenient. It’s a major deity in the atheist pantheon, the subject of a lot of special pleading.

– Occam’s razor, definition

You may think that what we’re doing is preposterous, but let’s put it into perspective. The only way that the entire world could have been led astray by the false paradigm of popular science (SciPop) is if it’s God’s will for it to happen. As the passage below tells us, it’s part of the plan. Why are you surprised that we can lift the veil on a strong delusion?

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

Incidentally, it’s infinitely improbable that a failed Janitor could destroy the theoretical foundation of popular science, but it happened. We’re approaching normality.

…probability factor of one to one… we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can’t cope with is therefore your own problem.
