Visible and Invisible

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

(Colossians 1:16) ESV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) use systematic deduction allowing the Bible to reveal how it interacts with our environment. As such, we need to clarify the usage of two words, spiritual and physical.

They are frequently used as opposites however, in physics, they have the same nature. In common usage the word spiritual is used to refer to the mystical and undefinable aspects of religious belief which popular science (SciPop) rejects because they can’t be detected. Physical is used to refer to something real, that science can detect and measure.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

(Ephesians 6:12) ESV

We need to step away from the idea that spiritual means something mystical and undefined. The Hebrew word translated as spirit is ruah, which means breath or wind. Breath and wind are composed of atmospheric gasses which, although invisible, are physical because they’re made of atoms and molecules like everything else. The spiritual realm is physical, but it’s invisible. Hence the words which we’ll be using are visible and invisible, or seen and unseen, as in today’s featured passage.

as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

(2 Corinthians 4:18) ESV

Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

The human soul can’t be detected so, as far as SciPop is concerned, it doesn’t exist. Oddly enough, when Einstein predicted gravitational waves they couldn’t be detected either but SciPop decided to detect them. This arbitrary double standard is the hallmark of SciPop. The issue is resolved if each human soul is a gravity node. This is a predictive testable hypothesis, Hypothesis 13, and so existence of the human soul now lies within the realm of science.
