Christians are making major strides in how they're able to account for the stratigraphic column as being the remnants of Noah's flood. They're embracing the material and have developed some technical proficiency.

Circumferential Shortening
It appears from the amount of subduction and upthrust around the world that the Earth's circumference has changed. It's an arcane phenomenon called circumferential shortening.
Radial Shrinkage
It will help to have an idea of the volume of material in the Earth's mantle because it appears that Earth has shrunk since it was first created, a process known as radial shrinkage.
The Pillars of the Earth
"The pillars of the earth" are incorporated into a 3D model of a spherical Earth in which they're part of Earth's internal structure. They don't require us to believe that the Earth is flat.
Mantle Collapse
If you use the Bible to deduce something and conclude that there needs to be something else in the Bible to confirm it, you search the Bible to find what you deduced was needed. If you find it, you're on the right track.
From Peleg to Abraham
The tectonic plates formed at least 201 years before the birth of Abraham. Noah's flood was at least 302 years before Abraham. So much for the geological timescale.
From Noah to Peleg
It's possible to be precise with the timing of the tectonic breakup of Pangaea. The time-lapse from Noah's flood to Peleg, and from Peleg to Abraham is recorded in Genesis 11:10-26.
Hypothesis 35
The Pangaea super-continent was broken into continental landmasses sometime after the tower of Babel. People and fauna were dispersed to all corners of Pangaea and then the tectonic plates formed.
Distribution of Biodiversity
There were two horses on Noah’s ark but now there are at least seven species in genus Equus. That's speciation or macro-evolution. It's not a problem because the process of evolution has a scriptural context.
Tehom became Sheol
The region between Earth's core and mantle, referred to by Jesus as a mega chasm or great gulf, has to transition from water filled to open space due to the expansion of hell.
