The earth is at the center of the observable universe. This is an empirical observation. Heliocentricity is not observed, it is theoretical. Oddly enough, people today simply cannot grasp this concept.
The Geometry of Despair
Measurable parallax would be proof that the Earth isn't at the center of God's creation in which case the issue of whether or not God created it has new significance. Unfortunately Galileo couldn't find any parallax.
