Devolution not Evolution

This is what he says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the Scriptures. So they bring on their own destruction.

Evolution is Biblical. We’ll lay out some logic for evangelical Christians so that they can avoid having heart attacks because we’re telling you that evolution is Biblical.

Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned.

(Romans 5:12) Good News Translation

The Context of Evolution

  1. The process of evolution is the passage of heritable traits from generation to generation,
    • it’s the result of reproduction,
    • reproduction is necessary because we have a finite lifespan,
    • this means that evolution is part of a cycle of death.
  2. There was no death before sin,
    • therefore evolution wasn’t possible before the fall of man in Genesis 3.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

Devolution is change in allele frequency in a population, combined with accumulated mutations and DNA replication errors, that causes genomic decay, sickness, and loss of variability over time. It includes both macro and micro evolution. It began at the fall of man in Genesis 3:16.

– Devolution, definition

The creative work of God took six days. This means that the work that God did during the six days, from the splitting of water molecules to the verdant young Earth swarming with diversity, represents abiogenesis. The reptile-mammal transition, for example, is clear evidence of the systematic development of increasing complexity by God the creator.

For those who want to cry about there not being enough time for the Platypus and Echidna, for example, to diverge through evolutionary processes given the short young Earth time span, there’s a simple answer: The genome isn’t being miraculously built by minute changes over geological time. The genome started complete and it’s decaying through mutation, genetic drift and adaptation – devolution.

Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

THE NARRATIVE

Devolution is the process of genetic change over time by which the animal kinds saved on Noah’s ark gave rise to the current distribution of biodiversity.

– Devolution, context

THE NARRATIVE turns on the fall of man in Genesis 3. At this moment, when God cursed the Earth and banished Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, the world system we’re part of began to decay. This is when the process of evolution began. This also gives us a Biblical context in which to place the effect and outcome of evolution. Noah’s flood was a reboot of biodiversity and it gives us a Biblical context in which to understand the process of evolution.

What we’re getting at is a workaround for the need, in the mainstream science narrative of godless existence (SciPop), for billions of years. This has nothing to do with radiometric dating, which is pseudoscience devised as an Ad-hock solution to the “problem” of the age of the Earth. SciPop needs this time because that’s how long it would take to compile the human genome knowing the rate at which beneficial mutations which could convey a selective advantage occur. It’s a simple math hack to come up with a timescale for the evolution of biological life.

Salvation

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.

The thing is, if all of the animals and plants were created with complete genomes, then there’s no need for billions of years. Don’t try to fit the Bible into a timescale which has been developed for the purpose of making it look like the Bible is wrong.

Here is a simple example of what we’re talking about: A population of brown-eyed humans will produce some offspring with blue eyes. If the blue-eyed individuals were gathered together as a group and isolated, they would produce only offspring with blue eyes. If the population of blue-eyed individuals was isolated for long enough the population would adapt over time to have traits that were an advantage in their environment. They may become, on average, shorter or taller depending on which conveyed the greatest advantage. The brown-eyed population would still have some blue-eyed offspring with the original set of traits. Blue eyes didn’t have to evolve through random mutation. Blue eyes already existed.
