The Lord will raise a signal flag to show the nations that he is gathering together again the scattered people of Israel and Judah and bringing them back from the four corners of the earth.
(Isaiah 11:12) Good News Translation
The phrase “the four corners of the earth” occurs a few times in scripture but every time it’s in the context of the millennial kingdom, it’s never used in any other context.
We, that’s me and the Holy spirit, find that a nuance like this makes all the difference in the world. We’ve already established the spherical nature of the Earth from 1) direct observation, 2) scripture, and 3) we can deduce that sphericity is inherent to our core accretion model of planet formation which happened when gravity was created on the second day.
