If we use deduction then we can look at the simple fact that Earth is a globe, and conclude that the meaning of the word circle in Isaiah 40:22 is sphere. In this case the Hebrew word translated as circle also means sphere.
Compass: Focus and Circumference
The third clue that helps us to deduce the creation of gravity comes from a verse in Proverbs 8. It's part of a passage which runs from verse 22-31 and is a synopsis of the account of creation.
A Geocentrospheric Solution
If God's sitting on the circle of the Earth, and God's throne is in heaven, then "the circle of the Earth" describes something orbiting the Earth, not the Earth itself. The circle of the Earth isn't Discworld.
Above and Below
A recurring theme in scripture is heaven above and Earth below. Orientation occurs for the first time on the second day. It's an ordering of the universe which occurred in response to the creation of gravity.
Circle, sphere: ח֣וּג – chug
Circle, sphere: ח֣וּג - chug * to draw a circle, to circumscribe, Job 26:10. * masc. circle, sphere, * fem. compass, compasses, Is 44:13.

Life has an orientation. Earth is down and the sky is up. Hell is below, heaven is above. Whatever happened on the second day has to allow for the formation of heaven and hell.

The Bible does NOT say that the Earth is flat. Not anywhere. The flat Earth insanity is what happens when you induce a rationalization of scripture to fit the premise of a flat Earth.
