Possibly the best advice which is the most sustainable and will avoid falling into the trap of trying to out do the Jones is this: wear clean clothes. The state of our heart is what counts, and only God can see that.
Change Your Garments
The clothes that we wear to church shouldn't be an expression of pride in accomplishments or an indication of status, but they probably shouldn't be the same clothes that we wear every other day.
