So if the priesthood of Levi, on which the law was based, could have achieved the perfection God intended, why did God need to establish a different priesthood, with a priest in the order of Melchizedek instead of the order of Levi and Aaron?
(Hebrews 7:11) NLT
Why did God need to establish a different priesthood? Probably because none of the others have answered the question: Why did God create the universe?
At least, not in a way which combines spiritual truth with physics, chemistry and biology.
Is there a class of people who act in a God-like manner even though they aren’t gods? They can do miraculous things not because they have power, but because they know that it can be done and that the power of God is available. Intent is the key, because even though the outcome could be total chaos, or look like total chaos, but the outcome could be the salvation of a billion souls.
What are the possible qualifications, characteristics or traits for a priest of the order of Melchizedek?
- Whatever the financial benefits may be, they only accept 10% of the profits.
- They took matters into their own hands but they parsed it just fine enough so that the benefit outweighs the negative impact.
We’ve used systematic deduction to develop a unified theory of everything.
Salvation
- Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
- believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- confess your sin.
