It’s not possible to prove that the Earth is rotating. Experimental results which have formerly been used as a way to prove that the Earth has daily rotation are examples of **gravitational drag effect** (GDE).

The most frequently cites examples of proof that the Earth has daily rotation are accounted for as follows.

- How about the Coriolis Effect? If we observe weather, the oceans and shipping having to account for rotational motion on the surface of the globe does it mean that the Earth is rotating?
**NO**- Could it be GDE?
**YES**

- What about a Focault Pendulum? The pendulum is a body which is affected by gravity and motion. If we observe that the pendulum swings according to a daily cycle does it mean that the Earth is rotating?
**NO**- Could it be GDE?
**YES**

- What about a Ring Laser Gyroscope? Gravitational lensing experiments prove that gravity affects light, therefore we can expect to be able to detect this. If we place a Ring Laser Gyroscope on the surface of the Earth and detect a deviation that’s the equivalent of one rotation per day, does it prove that the earth is rotating?
**NO**- Could it be GDE?
**YES**

What do you know? GDE can account for all observations of the the behavior of gravity and the motion of the cosmos.
