Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned –
(Romans 5:12) NKJV
“Rise and rapid evolution of grazing mammals and ape-like creatures.” Rapid evolution is an oxymoron. There shouldn’t be rapid evolution because of the way that the process of evolution has been envisioned.
Be that as it may, the physical evidence of the period of time designated as the Miocene, the 101 years from the end of Noah’s flood to the tectonic breakup of Pangaea in the time of Peleg, shows us that evolution was taking place rapidly. There’s an easy way to account for this in the Biblical narrative.
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
Firstly, here’s our working definition of evolution:
Evolution is change in allele frequency in a population over time.
– Evolution, definition
This is our bare-bones definition which takes into account that the mainstream science (SciPop) community divorced evolution from abiogenesis. Evolution isn’t the origin of life, that’s a scientific fact. Evolution is the passage of heritable traits from generation to generation. It requires death. There was no death before sin, therefore evolution is a process of genetic decay which began at the fall of man in Genesis 3.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
(Genesis 3:17) KJV
The curse that God placed on the ground (translated from the Hebrew Adam) was the beginning of nuclear decay. High atomic weigh elements were concentrated in the core of the Earth which is why it melted, and it’s why hell is at the center of the Earth.
Devolution is change in allele frequency in a population, combined with accumulated mutations and DNA replication errors, that causes genomic decay, sickness, and loss of variability over time. It includes both macro and micro evolution. It began at the fall of man in Genesis 3:16.
– Devolution, definition
The Miocene and its relationship to the period of time between Noah’s flood and Peleg’s tectonics during which time there was rapid evolution gives us the context we need to understand the process of evolution in the Biblical narrative:
Devolution is the process of genetic change over time by which the animal kinds saved on Noah’s ark gave rise to the current distribution of biodiversity.
– Devolution, context
Boom, mic drop.
We chose the featured passage today as a way of making the point that God created the Earth and he has directed its history. Everything that has happened to the Earth, including Noah’s flood and Peleg’s tectonics, are part of a sequence which he set in motion. The over-riding purpose is the plan of redemption, but the physical reality is that the world is collapsing in on itself under its burden of sin. Even this is necessary, because this is how we are to be redeemed: do we want to be purified and be free from sin? Then we choose Jesus Christ.
Regardless of what science may concoct as a way of hiding the truth, it will not prevail.
