Handling the Word of God
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
(2 Corinthians 4:1-2) NKJV
We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) have developed a paradigm which allows us to use physical evidence and empirical observations to confirm the truth: Jesus Christ is the light.
We chose the passage today to ask the question: can we communicate effectively with the people of out time? Is there any hope of reaching this world with the truth?
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
Some time ago now a moderately well-known YouTuber post a 24 minute video that destroyed Matty’s Paradigm. Except that, we’re still here. How can we continue if we’ve been destroyed? Are we just deceiving ourselves that everything is fine and acting like it’s not a problem? Or did we come to terms with the fact that it isn’t a problem, and because of the way that we’ve handled the Word of God, it’s never going to be a problem?
We do not lose heart
We’ve been called to this ministry and established in it. By the grace of God we’ll continue in it. It can be very helpful to remember back to when we got saved. For us this was July 1997. From that moment we began our quest to resolve and fully understand the differences between what the Bible teaches us vs. the world of mainstream science (SciPop).
We could give extensive testimony about the amazing miracles that we’ve witnessed which helped to show us the path, keep us on it, and form our mind around the ever more remarkable way in which we can use the Bible to understand physics, chemistry, and biology. We have an ever deeper and enriching fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit which is going on into it’s 25th year.
And then a YouTuber makes a 24 minute video, which will be forgotten about in a deluge of content, that the collective consciousness of our time settles on for a second like a fly, and then moves on. And God is still there, guiding, teaching. That’s a helpful perspective. We don’t loose heart.
Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

Nor Handling the Word of God Deceitfully
We’ve not been deceitful about how we’ve handled the Word of God. At the outset we committed to a deductive approach based on the premise that God can’t lie. If God can’t lie then the Bible is true. If the Bible is true then SciPop, in its current form, simply can’t be, they’re mutually exclusive.
God can’t lie and the Bible is true.
Principia Mattymatica – Principle I
Not only have we chosen the premise God can’t lie and the Bible is true, we’ve also advanced a form of Biblical literalism which is far beyond what Biblical literalists think is possible. We can take passages that literalists refer to as “flowery poetic language” and mine them for a plan for the particle physics of the universe, a theory of gravity and a description of the core accretion model.
We don’t impute meaning to the words of scripture, we look to find out what meaning they already have. This has given us the Sophia Proton thought experiment and Hypothesis 22.
Predictive Testable Hypothesis 22
- IF the Holy Spirit is the power of God to inspire human writers,
- AND the physics of the universe has been written in scripture so that it’s
- obvious and
- invisible,
- AND the physics of the universe has been written in scripture so that it’s
- THEN phrases or words that look like chemistry, physics, biology or geology should be treated as if they are chemistry, physics, biology or geology,
- AND the science will be congruent with the scriptural context.
