Gravity is Thought

I, John, have heard and seen all these things. And when I finished hearing and seeing them, I fell down at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things, and I was about to worship him. But he said to me, โ€œDon’t do it! I am a servant together with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all those who obey the words in this book. Worship God!โ€ And he said to me, โ€œDo not keep the prophetic words of this book a secret, because the time is near when all this will happen. Whoever is evil must go on doing evil, and whoever is filthy must go on being filthy; whoever is good must go on doing good, and whoever is holy must go on being holy.โ€

(Revelation 22:8-11) GNT

We’re intentionally avoiding introspectives in favor of building our theory of consciousness.

I used to think that this was worthwhile: The Bible tells us to ponder and meditate on its sayings. Can you think of ways in which obeying any of the sayings in the Bible has helped you this year?

We, that’s me and the Holy spirit, are tracking how specific sayings of the Bible, or the meaning of passages, has helped us during the past year. We feel so isolated and exposed at times that the words of the Bible become a lifeline that we cling to. There’s always a beneficial result, even if it’s just the re-centering of our inner peace: look to Jesus. It lightens our countenance and helps us to soldier on. We also need a measure of our growth or to catch ourselves if we’re backsliding.

The Bible is a big book. It has a lot of sayings in it. How do we keep them all? By being specific to our circumstances. We all deal with a variety of issues during the course of a year. Each year we pass milestones in our personal development which, if we pay attention and learn the lessons we are supposed to learn, we can build on and grow.

Obviously 2020 will forever be remembered for COVID-19 and the impact that this has had on peoples lives. Our life took an unexpected turn when the schools closed and we found ourselves at home with a child who has been distance learning since March. We’re fortunate in so many ways but one of them is the discipline which we’ve built up around prayer, Bible reading, Bible study and blogging. We adapted to our new life with ease.

During the course of the year we expanded our theory of gravitation to encompass what’s known as quantum gravity. We also began to incorporate a theory of time and consciousness into what has become a unified theory of everything.

A Unified Theory of Everything

  1. First cause
  2. Time
  3. Gravitation
  4. Electromagnetism (a unified field theory)
  5. Consciousness
  6. Redemption

If there’s one thing which stands out it was finding, during daily Bible reading, a passage which brought up the issue of whether or not our work is a godly pursuit or an outgrowth of rebellion. Does rebelling against peer review have value to the people of God or is it an unnecessary distraction? We picked our way through the issue and concluded that we were on the right track, this work is timely and will be of value, even thought it may not be realized for a while.
