Intolerance is anathema to Christianity, in theory, so it is particularly warped that Evangelicals have developed a very strong climate of intolerance based on Bible passages. Society, by-and-large and increasingly so, is tolerant.

Sexual immorality includes a lot of things. The Bible is the guide to what is and isn't acceptable. Sexual relations between a man and woman are sanctified by marriage. Anything else is immoral.
How to Qualify a YES Answer
We believe it's possible to redeemed and gay at the same time. Being redeemed happens when we put our faith in Jesus Christ and confess our guilt before God and acknowledge that we're a sinner.
So Which is It?
Sodom and Gomorrah was God's way of making a very important point. It was relevant to the age, when a minute human population had a vast world to populate and subdue. We don't live in that age.
No You Can’t
Some people would answer NO, you can't be redeemed and be gay. Christians seem to be botching our outreach to the LGBTQIA+ community so badly that many people think that we're mean, hateful people.
Yes You Can
Some people would answer YES, you can be redeemed and be gay. Those are the moderate and liberal Christians for whom the barn door was left open long ago and the horse ran off.

The LGBTQIA+ Mind
Identifying as LGBTQIA+ is not the cause of a reprobate mind, and the majority of people who self identify as LGBTQIA+ are not reprobates. It's time that evangelical Christianity got up to speed.

You don't prove to God what a good Christian you are by hating gays and lesbians. Accept them into your churches and teach them a Biblical interpretation of science so that the world can finally make sense.
