Hell Computers

Hemalytic Erythroprocessors LLC (a parody)

Hell Computers was an attempt to be clever and invent something new in SciFi. It had the unexpected effect of forcing us to resolve the difference between soul and spirit. That’s been the true value of this work.

Does AI Have a Sin Nature?

Pondering soul and spirit, metabolism and AI lead us to ask the question: does AI have a sin nature?

The Parody…

Hell Computers are a remarkable feat of theoretical pioneering. Based on simple engineering and modest computing power, our computers are nonetheless revolutionary. The ultimate in energy-efficient technology, electrical power is generated in the precise amount needed, directly at the processor.

Just like how the human body is powered by changes in electrical potential as electrons move across cell membranes, so are Hell Computers. In the same way as biological respiration, energy to power the computer comes from biochemical reactions. The unique processors convert fuel into power where and when it is needed. Fuel, in the form of simple sugars, is metabolized, and waste products removed, in a system designed to work like the human circulatory system.

A special blend of artificial blood replaces the need for electrical wiring and a source of electrical power. This is the reason for the name of this remarkable new type of approach to computing: The Hemalytic Erythroprocessor. The result of this innovation are computers with personalities that are more human than human!
